They used to do it without asking but following European legislation that is now banned, Instead many now virtually force you to agree before you can use their website. Likewise almost every website dumps dozens of cookies, trackers, analysis tools, etc on your PC.
Many people use ad blockers to reduce the impact. Sadly it is almost impossible today to find a useful website that is not saturated with adverts. That "problem" is easily explained - we all suffer from it. Reseting the router and changing all credentials doesn’t change a thing It’s clear that something is not right and someone is behind this.
All I do is see ads upon ads and warnings on every site about cookies and their privacy policy. I did not initiate the conversation nor was I looking into a WiFi range extender whatsoever. I had a bunch of windows open and clicked on one of them and it was a conversation with a live agent about a WiFi range extender. I called my ISP they said it sounds like someone is monitoring you there are these wireless access points that shouldn’t be there. Any other language than Spanish doesn’t matter the browser of even if I created a new Facebook which I did.
